- Practicum report (upload to "Practicum report" subfolder)
- Ask your superior to email me at the end of the semester his or her feedback on your practicum. There is not set format for this feedback.
Guidelines for preparing the practicum report:
- The practicum report should not be academic; it should be practical and useful to readers in your office/workplace. It would be preferable that the report be in a form that will continue to be useful to your office even after the semester is over. It can take actionable forms that your superior will appreciate, such as a work template, process description, or a manual someone else in your office/workplace can use.
- The report should be 10 pages or less, single-spaced. Adjust the scope and treatment of your topic to fit this page limit. Here are some suggestions on style:
- Skip introductory company information, except those providing relevant context to your KM practicum. Then go immediately to the main purpose of your paper in the first paragraph. What issues, concerns or questions is the paper aimed at investigating? What was the result of your QBPA?
- Describe briefly your methodology and devote most of the write-up to the findings and results. Include the measurement of performance indicators before and after your practicum.
- Place your citations together at the back under "References" instead of footnotes at the bottom each page. Minimize using technical terms; if you have to, define them quoting your source or reference. Define acronyms or abbreviations the first time you refer to it.
- Minimize use of underlines, bolds and italics within the text. Avoid the German practice of capitalizing first letter of common nouns.
